We find our purpose when we give ourselves to God’s purposes.
I believe that the main issue is that we’ve been taught that we are the center of our own universe. Life is about “self fulfillment” and following our dreams. We’ve been taught to dig deep; to find ourselves. And when we as flawed, sinful, imperfect, and limited beings attempt to construct our own “purpose” is it any wonder that the purposes that we construct are so often flawed, sinful, imperfect, and weak?
The key to “living in our purpose” is to give ourselves to God’s purposes. When we give ourselves to Him and His purposes we no longer have to worry about whether we are “missing out” on our own purpose - because we actually find our purpose when we give ourselves to God’s purposes.
